What is Work-Based Learning
Work-based Learning (WBL) includes developing and providing input in design and implementation of in-class and out-of-class curriculum and experiential learning activities connecting students to the world of work and integrating academic and technical skills.
In-class activities could include design of project-based learning with an entrepreneurial focus and strengthening employer engagement such as participation in: class projects, presentations to students, mock interviews, participation on advisory committees and input on curricular enhancements to strengthen student learning.
Out-of-class activities would include Job Shadowing, Company Tours, Mentors, Internships, participation in student organizations such as SkillsUSA and connecting with learning opportunities such as those provided by Motogo.
